How RAD MAG started

Fed up with mounts that let you down.

RAD MAG started with a simple frustration: every radar detector mount we tried was rubbish. Suction cups that let go in the heat, sticky pads that ripped off the windscreen, brackets that left the detector dangling in your eyeline.

So we made our own. A magnetic mount with pogo-pin power that snaps your detector on and off in a second and holds it dead still at any speed - no suction, no residue, no fuss.

Every mount is designed, 3D printed, tested and packed by the two of us right here in New Zealand. We test against the actual detectors people drive, so when we say it fits, it fits.

How every mount gets made.

Step 01

Design

We model every mount in CAD, tuned to the exact detector and where it sits on your glass.

Step 02

Each part is 3D printed in tough, heat-resistant material - small batches, not a factory floor overseas.

Step 03

Test

We fit it to the real detector and a real windscreen, then drive it. If it shifts, it goes back to the drawing board.

Step 04

Pack

We pack and post every order ourselves from New Zealand, usually the same day.
